Christmas for the Homeless

I wanted to take a moment and say "THANKS" once again to everybody that helped with Robin's Christmas for the homeless. Our Christmas party was a major hit and all of your donations were much appreciated. As most of you know Robin and Jen received 50 backpacks from the police department and the goal was to be able to fill them with essential items & snacks and pass them out at the annual Christmas dinner that Robin's church holds for the homeless. Jen was later able to get an additional 20 backpacks. I believe the final head count for dinner was around 85! Luckily there were enough donations, just not enough backpacks. The last group of people were given their gifts in a plastic grocery bag. Robin told me that next year she is going to shoot for 100 filled backpacks. I am going to post some of the pictures taken at the dinner. Yes, the children in the pictures are homeless and it is ashame. But if you look close you will see that the children are smiling. We can feel good knowing that we helped put a smile on their faces.
